Protecting animals and nature on our beautiful planet, and helping my fellow human beings realize their own power and potential gives me immense joy and I can not imagine doing anything else.
My road so far.
My professional career began with communication, with ten years in advertising in Sweden. This followed with a pursuit to realize my passion and engagement in environmental issues, which led me to start my own magazine, and to work with The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC).
After many years engaging in environmental issues, and later based in Indonesia, the journey brought me to the development sector in Uganda, working on projects related to gender equality and anti-corruption. Lately I have been engaged in the Education sector in India. Now I am embarking on my next journey which brings me tremendous joy – Permaculture!
Collaborate.
I have worked with World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) in post tsunami Aceh Darussalam, on community outreach, local capacity building and campaign design. Remained in Indonesia for five years, with freelance work for International environmental organizations, such as WWF, Conservation International and The Nature Conservancy. My understanding of development work deepened, and I took on employment in Uganda with ActionAid as People4Change and Local Partner Capacity Building Coordinator. Recently I finished a contract with STIR Education in India, assigned as Head of Communication and Organizational Culture.
