I believe tools of communication can serve to make considerable changes
in the world of today–inform and inspire.
My experience involves working with communication strategy and visual design both in the corporate world (ten years with advertising in Sweden)
as well as with non-profits. I have worked with The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC), assisting in creating governmental and public engagement thru limited funds. I have worked in a disaster area and developing country where cultural factors involved in communication strategies are significant; post tsunami Aceh (for World Wildlife Fund (WWF)) being involved in community outreach, local capacity building and campaign design addressing local and international stakeholders and governmental interests in the rebuilding of Aceh. The last five years I have been living and working in Indonesia with communications for international environmental NGO’s (WWF remain a major client) – targeting both stakeholders, governments and the public.

After my years in the advertising industry, I completed an internship with The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, where I gained valuable insight into the world of an NGO and how to create public and governmental engagement with limited funds.
I then started my own magazine (MicroMacro) - an internet magazine seeking to inspire and engage. It was designed to serve as a forum for people to connect for topic related ideas and projects. My responsibilities involved design, copy, production, marketing and fund-raising.
Prior to Amazing Earth, I worked as a communicator and designer in post- tsunami Banda Aceh (Indonesia) for WWF. I engaged in their coastal community development project and I created materials for the "Timber for Aceh" campaign in the area. During this period I also got in contact with and started designing campaign materials for The Coral Triangle Initiative.
